On Facebook, one day, I announced via my status that I "had new labels, and was about to use them." One of my friends responded that it is a little sad that we get to a point in our lives where things like labels and bins equal excitement. And I suppose I am there as I sit drooling over my catalogs from The Container Store, just a few short steps away from joining the Red Hat Society. But, since I can't afford to buy out the container store in one foul swoop, I have, slowly and surely been transforming my pantry, a few bins and labels at a time.
I have a huge pantry. It was one of the things I refused to compromise on when we built our house. It is not a walk-in, that would be even cooler, but it is about 300 times bigger than the food storage space I had a available at our old house. No matter how many times our builder (a single man with no kids) tried to tell us to make it half as big, I refused. And I am very glad that I did not give in. So, I present, a work in progress, my pantry:
Just looking at these pictures makes me want to run to Target for more boxes....I can see all the places I still have work to do. I really want boxes for the bread (and not have to buy wonder bread for my picky husband). I want all the boxes to match. I need more boxes for the snacks and bigger bins for the flour and sugar and the bisquick needs a box...I am starting to hyperventlate now...
And now you know how really and truly sick I am..
